NY state has lowest number of new COVID cases since early November

New York state is seeing its lowest number of new COVID cases since November 8.

Gov. Hochul says the declines are cause for celebration and hope – but not complacency.

The state reported 3,795 new COVID cases in their latest update on Monday.

New cases are down 40% over the past week. Hospitalizations are down nearly 30%.

The state’s daily positivity rate is 4.20%, while the 7-day average is 4.53% .

The 7-day average in the Capital Region is 8.43%. The 7-day average in the Mohawk Valley is 7.61%.

Sadly, another 90 people died.
