COLONIE – A Colonie road is back open after a deadly crash Monday morning.
It happened around 9 a.m. in the area of Memory’s Garden.
Police say a pickup truck failed to negotiate a curve and hit a tree. The driver, 51-year-old Howard Cooper, was thrown from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed from Vly Road to Sand Creek Road for several hours.
Police think speed was a factor.
