PITTSFIELD – The city of Pittsfield is changing the location of its inauguration ceremony next month due to concerns over the omicron variant.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle report the ceremony on January 3 will now take place at the Boland Theater at Berkshire Community College instead of City Hall.

City officials say the change will allow for more social distancing, and everyone will be required to wear a mask.
