Springside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Pittsfield is dealing with a spike of COVID-19 cases.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle report a team of support staff has been dispatched there. The rapid response team consists of nurses and nursing assistants to provide clinical care, help with infection prevention, and with COVID-19 testing.

While COVID-19 numbers are going down across the Berkshires, 60 residents and staff members at Springside have tested positive over the past two weeks. Ninety-seven percent of current people at Springside were vaccinated and 90% were boosted as of last month.
