Police arrest Catskill man for threatening friends with a rifle

Albany Police arrested a Catskill man after he threatened his friends with a loaded rifle Friday night.
Police responded to the call around 11:25 p.m. Friday night. According to authorities, they say 30-year-old Nathaniel Picardi was with friends at apartment on Myrtle Avenue.
Detectives learned that Picardi was using narcotic drugs inside the apartment with a group of friends when he became paranoid. He then blocked the entrance of the apartment and pointed a loaed AR-15 rifle at them.
Police say no injuries were reported. Police charged Picardi with kidnapping, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
