A bill NewsChannel 13 has told you about – designed to give families easier access to propane – has passed the New York State Assembly.

The bill is sponsored by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara.

It will allow people who use propane to heat their homes to get emergency deliveries from any supplier during emergencies and periods of high demand.

As NewsChannel 13 has reported, this came after a spike in delayed and missed deliveries.

There is a matching bill in the New York State Senate.
