Rensselaer County legislators call for County Executive McLaughlin’s resignation

Rensselaer County legislators are calling for County Executive Steve McLaughlin to resign.

The Rensselaer County Legislature Office of the Minority has filed a resolution, calling for McLaughlin to step down.

You’ll remember, McLaughlin was indicted on felony charges back in December.

He is accused of using campaign funds for personal debts.

The resolution says the ongoing case is attracting negative attention and public outrage.
