Criminal complaints have been filed against Fort Edward Police Chief Justin Derway and Police Sergeant Dean Watkins. That’s according to the Times Union.
As NewsChannel 13 reported exclusively several weeks ago, the state attorney general was looking into allegations the two men falsified training records of nearly a dozen recruits.
Derway and Watkins were placed on administrative leave back in January. Now they’re both accused of felonies.
They are scheduled to appear in Albany City Court on Monday.
NewsChannel 13 tried to reach Chief Derway on Thursday, but it appears his number is no longer in service.
