LINCOLN, R.I. – A Rhode Island woman with a love for exercising and socializing has high hopes for a special class at the senior center where she teaches.
At 86-years-old, there’s no slowing Irma Mershon down!
Twice a week for as far back as she can remember, Mershon has been a go-getter when it comes to looking and feeling good.
Twice a week at her local senior center – with about 30 participants in their golden years – the 86-year-old woman moves a mile a minute.
For Mershon, this class is her motivation – giving her a sense of purpose after losing her husband Herb to Parkinson’s.
