Rotterdam considers moving town hall to old ViaPort Kmart

ROTTERDAM – There could be new life for the old Kmart at Viaport Rotterdam.
The town says they are exploring the possibility of making it the new town hall.
The police department and justice court would also move there, along with 100 employees.
It would include either a long-term lease, or outright purchase of the old store.
The town says centralizing everything would reduce costs, and make things easier for residents.
If a go-ahead is given, the move could happen in 2022.
