Saratoga Springs is canceling the inauguration ceremony for the city’s incoming city council and supervisors.
Usually, a ceremony is held on January 1 for those who won in the November election.
Mayor-elect Ron Kim says in light of the current increase of COVID-19 cases, the elected officials will privately take their respective oaths of office in the city council chambers.
Family members will be allowed to attend.
Everyone in attendance is recommended to take a COVID-19 test 24 hours prior to the ceremony.
