Science in every pint: Active Ingredient Brewing Company offers unique experience

A business born in the pandemic is serving up a twist on the craft brewery experience.

Brian Fox and Nathan Rogers have been passionate, at-home brewers since their time studying at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and now they have the Malta area buzzing with their business partnership; Active Ingredient Brewing Company.

The original opening of Active Ingredient Brewing Company, which sits on Route 9 just south of Exit 12, was delayed by nearly a year because of COVID. Fox and Rogers officially welcomed their first customers in May 2021.

The decor matches the mindset and approach of the two pharmacists in their brewing process, and the locals are loving it.
