Troy cops complete emotional distress training

Friday was graduation day for a group of local police officers.
They took part in a week-long training program at Hudson Valley Community College.
The classes and workshops focused on emotional disturbance, mental illness, and suicide intervention.
Eleven graduates are with the Troy Police Department.
Chief Owens says the goal of the training is to help police officers resolve situations as peacefully as they can.
