New research on Pfizer’s COVID vaccine shows how much better three doses are compared to two.
Kaiser Permanente did the study that was published in Lancet Regional Health medical journals.
Researchers looked at the electronic health records of more than 3 million people from December 2020 to last December.
They found after two doses of the vaccine, effectiveness against becoming infected was at 85% after the first month and went down to 49% several months later.
However, after three doses, there was 88% effectiveness against infection and 97% against hospitalization over the first three months.
