A Wisconsin teenager is back home after being hospitalized following the parade tragedy in Waukesha.
Members of the community, friends and family were all standing by to welcome Erick Tiegs home.
Erick was playing trombone when he was hit by the SUV that drove through the parade, right into crowds of people.
The 16-year-old fractured his skull, broke his femur and ribs. His lungs collapsed.
Volunteers from the community built a ramp for Erick. His father hopes he won’t have to use it for long.
A firetruck escorted the family home, and his father’s coworkers were there to show their support.
