Troy Police search for suspect following shooting

Troy Police are looking for a suspect after a shooting led to some tense moments for people living in one neighborhood.

Police say it all started Sunday afternoon near 9th Street and Hoosick Street. Police say the suspect took off before they arrived, but they got reports that the gunman may have returned to an apartment near the scene. Swat units and a police helicopter were also brought in to help with the search.

After several hours, police went into the apartment, but they were unable to find the suspect inside. Police say the victim suffered a minor injury, and that the victim and suspect know each other.
