Troy water main break causes boil water notice in neighboring communities

A water main break in Troy has caused a boil water advisories in neighboring communities. People living in East Greenbush, Rensselaer, and Menands are affected.

You’re asked to bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using.

Officials say the advisory could last for the next two days, or until the problem is fixed.

The state has set up a water tanker to provide drinking water to all who are affected. It’s parked near School 12. You must bring your own water containers.
