The ribbon has been cut on one of the premier children, adult and family services facilities in the Capital Region.
Vanderheyden has moved off the Wynantskill Campus to downtown Troy – returning to its roots where the Troy Orphan Asylum started.
President and CEO Karen Carpenter Palumbo says "this is an increased expansion to offer support services to families in their homes.
With our office being right in the heart of Troy, we’ll hopefully be able to deter a child being placed outside their home"
Some critical elements in Vanderheyden’s Community Services Program include health home care management – where case managers and medical partners help individuals under 21 navigate healthcare needs.
Other programs help kids participate in activities.
