Vermont National Guard troops to receive donation

Vermont’s National Guard troops will be getting a huge donation from local businesses and organizations in Bennington Wednesday.

More than a dozen organizations will be meeting at the VFW on North Street. They’ll be dropping off items they’ve collected along with some monetary donations.

Some troops were sent overseas two months ago and are set to be gone for the next year.

Items and donations for the troops will be collected through Thursday.
