Vermont police looking for man accused of kidnapping, assault

Vermont state police are looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous. He’s just been named as a suspect in a kidnapping and assault case.

Ivan Carmona, 29, is accused of kidnapping someone from their home in Newport, assaulting them, and then holding that person against their will overnight in the nearby town of Brownington.

Police say Carmona is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has dark hair and facial hair, with tattoos on the left side of his neck and his left calf.

If you see him, you are asked to call 911. He should not be approached.
