Waffle House workers team up so employee won’t miss graduation

CENTER POINT, Ala. – When workers at an Alabama Waffle House learned that one of their co-workers had decided to work instead of attend his high school graduation, they teamed up to help him go.

Timothy Harrison has been working at the Center Point Waffle House for just over a month, but the young man who has seen tough times believes in good.

Recently, Woodlawn High School was holding commencement across town. Timothy didn’t have a ride, so he headed to work.

His manager and fellow employees were shocked to see him there.

That’s when they bought Timothy some dress clothes, and drove him to the high school to get that cap and gown.

The story gets even better. Lawson State has now offered Timothy a free ride to college, books included.
