NewsChannel 13 salutes U.S. Army SP4 David Dedrick of Albany and East Greenbush.
The husband, father, and grandfather joined the Army a week after graduating from Philip Schuyler High School, and served in Vietnam.
During his service, he received a Purple Heart and a Medal for Heroism.
He later worked as a letter carrier and a bus driver.
