Back To School: New York’s Capital Region

Today begins a stretch of very warm weather with summer-like heat building in this week. Highs will rise into the lower to mid 80s today with partly to mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows only fall to around 60.

Both Tuesday and Wednesday will bring unseasonably hot temperatures, with highs hovering around the 90 degree mark. A few showers and storms will be possible Tuesday afternoon, especially for areas north and west. Otherwise expect a mix of sun and clouds.

Shower and storm chances go up with a cold front approaching Wednesday night into Thursday.

By Friday, we’ll see a drop to more seasonable temperatures as highs will fall back into the 70s under mostly sunny skies.

Have a great day!
