Adams firefighters thank supporting agencies for work at old factory fire
The Adams Fire Department is thanking all the support they got while fighting a fire at an old factory on Wednesday.
Around 22 agencies and 100 responders helped fight the fire.
It broke out at the former MacDermid Graphics building on Harmony Street.
A second alarm was called, due to heavy smoke and flames from the roof.
Approximately 22 agencies and a hundred responders went to the scene.
A shelter in place was in effect for those with respiratory problems, because of the smoke. That order has since been lifted.
The Adams Fire Department gave a special shoutout to a few local businesses that donated fuel and pizza, sandwiches, and grinders for the crews that had to spend 12 hours out there fighting the flames.
The fire is still under investigation. No cause has been given.
