Albany man admits to trafficking cocaine, marijuana
An Albany man is facing at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking cocaine and marijuana in the Capital Region.
Brian Scott, 44, admitted in U.S. District Court that he and a co-conspirator sent drug couriers, known as “horses,” to transport cocaine to the North Country and marijuana to the Capital Region, the U.S. Attorney Office’s said. He also admitted to selling over 400 grams of cocaine to someone between May and September 2023.
Scott faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 26. He also must forfeit $4,865 in drug proceeds and pay a money judgment of $17,180.
