Albany man faces drug charges after traffic stop

An Albany man is facing felony drug charges.

Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of North Pearl Street and Van Tromp Street a little after 9 a.m. on Tuesday for a traffic violation. The driver, 36-year-old Lameik L. Kindred, had around 3 grams of fentanyl and 7.8 grams of cocaine, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office said.

Kindred was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and a traffic violation. He was set to be arraigned in Albany City Court.
