Ballston Lake man accused of stealing from business twice

Police have arrested a Ballston Lake man for allegedly stealing from a business two times in a week.

State Police received a complaint from a Clifton Park business on Tuesday reporting multiple burglaries. Shaun Sheriff, 32, allegedly entered the business in the early morning hours on June 10 without permission and stole money.

He then returned to the business early on Wednesday and stole several items, police said.
A Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputy found Sheriff outside the business on Thursday just before 1:30 a.m. and arrested him.

Police found things the Sheriff allegedly stole during the second burglary and a burglary tool.

Sheriff was charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools. He was issued an appearance ticket and due in Clifton Park Town Court on June 20.
