Bennington County man wanted in assault turns himself in

A Bennington County man wanted in connection with an assault has turned himself in.

Paul St. Pierre Jr., 34, of Pownal, surrendered to Bennington Probation and Parole last Thursday, just after 2:30 p.m., Vermont State Police said.

The alleged assault happened around 2:30 a.m. the day before, at a home on Montgomery Road in Pownal. Vermont State Police were not able to find Pierre at the time.

Pierre was charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint and interference with access to emergency services. He was sent without bail to Marble Valley Correctional Facility.
