A pilot program for an area commuter service will soon come to an end.

CDTA said the Flex Plus on-demand pilot program will end in two weeks. The service provided direct train-to-transit service for customers traveling to and from the Rensselaer Rail Station to downtown Albany.

The final day of service will be Friday, March 28.

The agency cited a lack of connections to destinations beyond downtown Albany and existing commuting patterns.

The program served around 2,000 customers during its duration.
