Clifton Park woman arrested for crashing vehicle while allegedly under drug and alcohol influence

Sarah E. Sears, 36, of Clifton Park was arrested by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday following investigation into a one-car crash that happened on State Route 146 in Clifton Park.
Officials say they responded to the crash at 2:01 a.m.
Sears is accused of operating a motor vehicle while having impaired ability due to a combination of alcohol and drug influence, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say she is also accused of possessing crack cocaine, consuming alcohol while inside the vehicle on a public highway, failing to operate her vehicle in a single lane, and driving without a valid certificate of inspection.
Sears was charged with the following:
- Driving while ability impaired (combination of alcohol and drugs)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle on a public highway
- Moving from lane unsafely
- Uninspected motor vehicle
She was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in Clifton Park Town Court.
