Closing arguments set for Albany murder trial

Closing arguments are scheduled for Thursday in the trial of a man charged in an Albany homicide from last October.

Jonte Wunner, 26, is accused of shooting Mohammed Poquee on North Pearl Street, back on Oct. 20.

Poquee had multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center.

The Albany County District Attorney’s Office said 19 witnesses have testified on behalf of the prosecution. The defense did not call any witnesses.

The trial will resume at 9:15 a.m.
