Defense calls witnesses in double murder trial
Testimony is continuing in the double murder trial of Nicholas Fiebka, who is accused of killing his mother and partner.
Testimony continued Wednesday in the trial for the Schenectady County man accused of fatally shooting his mother and her partner in November 2022.
Nicholas Fiebka allegedly killed Alesia Wadsworth, 60, and William Horwedel, 61, at their 1155 Reynolds Home.
The defense team was calling witnesses, according to the Schenectady County Court clerk.
Fiebka’s attorney, Mark Sacco, has been arguing that his client be found not guilty by reason of mental defect. He has said that his client had been suffering with mental illness for many years and had been spiraling out of control.
Fiebka is facing two counts of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and weapons charges.
