Drones can help you build or buy a home.

The State Association of Professional Land Surveyors says drones provide a faster and safer way to survey land.

They offered a demonstration.

“Once you learn how to apply these tools to what we do, it’s a night and day difference. We can cover more ground, more safely and be more cost effective for our clients,” said Pat Vanhaverveke, of Colliers Engineering.

They say drones can take detailed pictures of a site, which makes it easier to do things like create maps and define property boundaries.
