Five charged in conspiracy to distribute traffic meth, fentanyl

Five people charged in Capital Region drug ring

Five people have been indicted in connection with a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl in the Capital Region. The alleged conspiracy was led by Felix Arencibia, 28, of Amsterdam, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Between November 2022 and July 2023, Arencibia is accused of receiving packages of the drugs in the mail from Christian Mur-Santana, 28, of Las Vegas. Arencibia then distributed those packages.

Arencibia then distributed those packages.

Also indicted in the scheme were: Todd Austin, 64, of Gloversville; Ahmad Burke, 66, of Albany; and Kevisha DuBoise, 27, of Schenectady.

Four other defendants have already pleaded guilty in this conspiracy and waiting to be sentenced.

They are: Andrew Delon, 27, Schenectady; Melissa Karwan, 37, Schenectady; Flor Arencibia, 39, of Albany; and Stefanie Plass, 37, Schenectady.
