Fulton County man accused of stealing from snowmobile club back in court

The Fulton County man accused of stealing over $8,000 while president of a snowmobiling club was back in court Tuesday.

Chad Daley, 52, worked as the leader of the Stratford-based Snowdrifters Club for more than 10 years. He allegedly stole $4,155 by depositing checks into his personal bank account.

Prosecutors also said he wrote a $3,500 Snowdrifters’ check to cash, which was endorsed and cashed by his longtime partners.

Daley also allegedly falsified business records to fraudulently obtain $40,000 in state grant money for the organization.

Prosecutors turned over evidence to Daley. He is due back in court on May 20. There could be a possible plea offer at that time, according to the court.
