Guilderland man gets 7 years in prison for robbing marijuana dealer at gunpoint
Robbing a marijuana dealer has led to 7 years in prison for a Guilderland man.
Alexander G. Madera, 21, previously admitted that back on Jan. 23, 2022 he and Jorge Rosario entered a single-family residence in Guilderland to rob a man early in the morning. They displayed a rifle and pistol and took $172 in drug proceeds from the dealer while holding him at gunpoint in the bedroom. Rosario stood guard in the living room.
Before they could leave, other residents of the house attacked and disarmed them. They were restrained until police arrived.
Madera got 85 months in prison and must serve 3 years of post-release supervision.
Rosario will be sentenced on July 9. He is set to receive a prison term of 168 to 188 months and 5 years of post-release supervision.
