Man accused of violating protection order

A homeless man is accused of violating an order of protection.

Sheriff’s deputies received a harassment complaint at a residence on Galway Road in the town of Milton on Oct. 12 at around 8:30 p.m. David E. Greenwood, 54, who is homeless, was charged with aggravated criminal contempt and criminal contempt, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. 

The charges were upgraded to felonies because he has a previous conviction for violating a protection order within the last five years.

Greenwood was arraigned in Milton Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail.
