An event was held at Morcon Tissue in Rensselaer County to help create jobs for people with disabilities in New York state.
This all comes after the sudden closure of Essity paper mill in South Glens Falls, which employed many people with disabilities.
Morcon is teaming up with New York State Industries for the Disabled, Community Work & Independence, and Hill & Markes.
The partnership is a part of the larger Preferred Source Program run by the nonprofit New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc. It supports those with disabilities and helps the Capital Region economy.
