No one hurt after propane tank crashes in Middleburgh

No one was hurt after a commercial vehicle hauling a propane tank crashed in Middleburgh on Tuesday.
The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday on Lawton Hollow Road. The vehicle overturned down a ravine and had damage.
The Middleburgh Fire Department, New York State Fire, and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation responded to the scene. The roadway was closed out of an abundance of caution.
Environmental officials determined that the propane in the tank would need to be slowly burned off. That operation is ongoing, and the vehicle will be removed once that process is complete.
There is currently no threat to the public or environmental impact, investigators said.
No evacuations were needed.
