Rally to save Great Meadow prison set for Aug. 4

A rally to save a Washington County prison from closing will take place on Aug. 4.

The state has announced that Great Meadow Correctional Facility will close in November. The prison employs about 650 workers.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort Ann Super Stop at 11300 State Route 149 in Fort Ann.
