Schenectady County seeks applicants for arts grant

Schenectady County is accepting applications for a new Arts & Culture Grant.

The Schenectady County Legislature has improved the grant, which was formerly known as the County Initiative Program.

The grants are funded through the county’s hotel and motel occupancy tax and were created to help support local organization’s activities in historic education, the performing, visual and literary arts or programs promoting tourism.

New applicants may apply for up to two projects, which may consist of a single event or series of events.

Applications are due by March 14, 2024.

More than 750 programs have been supported since the program began in 2022.
