Schenectady man admits to selling fentanyl pills

A Schenectady man has admitted to selling fentanyl pills.

Omar Wynn, 31, pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to distribution of a controlled substance. Wynn sold 1,500 fentanyl pills, which were stamped to make them look like it was Oxycodone. He also had 8.6 grams of cocaine base, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Wynn agreed to give up $3,000 in proceeds from the crime.

Wynn is scheduled to be sentenced on March 11. He faces at least 5 years and up to 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.
