Schenectady man gets 3 years in prison for having stolen gun
A Schenectady man was sentenced on Tuesday to 3 years in prison for possessing a stolen gun.
Raki Johnson , 25, was arrested in August after Saratoga Springs Police spotted a black handgun in plain view in a parked car.
The 9mm semiautomatic handgun was loaded with nine rounds of ammunition. It had been reported stolen out of Catawba County in North Carolina.
Johnson pleaded guilty in November to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
He also must serve 1 ½ years of post-release supervision.
