Schenectady man gets 6 years in prison on gun, drug charges
A Schenectady man was sentenced Thursday to 6 years in prison on weapons and drug charges.
Kori Overton, 50, had previously admitted to possessing a bag containing cocaine and a loaded 9 mm handgun. He was stopped by State Police in Albany on Sept. 15, 2020 for a traffic violation. The cocaine and gun were found in a hidden compartment that was built into the vehicle's front passenger seat, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Overton was banned from owning guns because of a 1991 felony robbery conviction.
