Sheriff: Schenectady man drove on drugs, crashed vehicle

A Schenectady man is accused of driving while on drugs and crashing his vehicle in Clifton Park.

Vickey Baldeo, 25, was driving on Blue Barns Road on Sunday just after 7:45 a.m. Baldeo left the road and struck several trees, bushes and a mailbox, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Baldeo was taken to Ellis Hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, investigators said.

Baldeo was charged with driving while ability impaired, speeding and failure to use designated lane. He was released on appearance tickets and due in Clifton Park Town Court at a later date.
