Six Flags Great Escape is marking 70 years of success.
The Queensbury amusement park opened in 1954.
Visitors to the park on Thursday may see some of their favorite characters from Storytown, U.S.A, which was what the park was called before it became Great Escape.
The park is now open every day until Labor Day.
