A Troy man is accused of leading police on a chase and crashing his vehicle.
State Police tried to stop a vehicle on Route 40 in Easton just before 11 p.m. on Sunday for a traffic violation. Instead of stopping, the driver, Kevin A. Penadicent, 19, led police on a chase.
Penadicent allegedly drove recklessly and turned off his headlights to try and get away.
Troopers lost sight of the vehicle, but found it on the side of the road a short time later.
Penadicent crashed and broke a utility pole before the vehicle stopped in a nearby field, police said. Neither Penadicent, nor a passenger in the car, were hurt.
Penadicent was charged with two reckless endangerment counts, unlawful fleeing a police officer and traffic violations.
