Part of Whitehall under boil water notice

A portion of the village of Whitehall is under a boil water notice.

Crews were dealing with two water main breaks on the Route 4 east line, which only affects users east of 131 Poultney St. on Route 4 and Buckley Road. One of the breaks has been fixed.

Residents in those area should bring their water to a boil for one minute before drinking.  

Whitehall schools dismissed early because of the break.
