Averill Park wins program’s second state title, 54-48 over Tappan Zee

The Averill Park girls basketball team won the program’s second state title Saturday, beating Tappan Zee in the Class A championship game 54-48 at Hudson Valley Community College. In the process, senior guard and NewsChannel 13 all-star Amelia Wood passed Katie Duma as the Warriors’ all-time leading scorer in program history. See highlights and reaction here.
