New York is getting one of the most advanced semi-conductor tools. A $10 billion partnership with big names in the semiconductor industry will help create a cutting edge high NA extreme ultraviolet lithography center – a research and development center at the Albany Nanotech complex.
New York is getting one of the most advanced semi-conductor tools.
A $10 billion partnership with big names in the semiconductor industry will help create a cutting-edge high NA extreme ultraviolet lithography center – a research and development center at the Albany Nanotech complex.
The project will also create at least 700 new jobs, according to supporters.
The governor described semiconductors as the brains of our electronics, and the United States cannot depend on other countries, political leaders said.
Industry leaders call this a landmark moment and a technology milestone.
New York state is investing $1 billion into Albany Nanotech as part of this new initiative.
